This slurry is wet with water but turns into a white powder when dry. The snow scattered all over this place is not real but it is marble slurry.

As you must be aware that Kishangarh town of Ajmer is very famous all over India due to its marble business. There are a large number of marble mines here.

The work of harvesting this marble, which comes out of the mines, is done on a very large scale. Thousands of liters of slurry that comes out after cutting the marble is dumped in this dumping yard.

This slurry increases pollution and is dangerous. If it is poured on fertile land, then after some time that land becomes infertile, that is, it is not suitable for cultivation.


This dumping yard spread over about 322 bighas was started in the year 2005 to dump this slurry at only one place. As the amount of slurry kept on increasing here, this yard kept taking the form of icy plains.

Today this dumping yard has taken the form of a tourist place. Thousands of tourists have started coming here.

Entry Fee in Kishangarh Dumping Yard


Talking about the entry fee, there is no entry fee or ticket of any kind for the general tourist to enter the Kishangarh Dumping Yard. Vehicle parking is also free.

To enter here, you have to take permission by going to the Kishangarh Marble Association office located nearby.

There is no charge for mobile phones for photos and videos, but there is a charge for video cameras. Pre-wedding photoshoot and shooting charges apply.

Timings of Kishangarh Dumping Yard


Talking about the timings, the opening time of Kishangarh Dumping Yard is 10 in the morning and the closing time is 5 in the evening. No one is allowed entry after 4 pm.

This dumping yard is built in Kishangarh town near Ajmer. To go here, we have to go to Kishangarh first.

You can go to Kishangarh by bus or car as the town is connected to both Jaipur and Ajmer cities by the Jaipur-Ajmer Expressway.

The distance of Snow Yard from Ajmer Railway Station is about 32 KM and the distance of Snow Yard from Jaipur Railway Station is about 105 KM.

The distance of Snow Yard from Kishangarh Railway Station is about 10 KMs. From here, many means are available to go to Snow Yard.
